Last year I listened to my sons podcast he did at school. It was the sports results from the inter district school competition. I was so impressed with what they were doing at school but I never really had a chance to go into it further.
During this learning session I spent alot of time searching for something interesting and waiting for it to load...............................................................................
but when it was podcasting I really enjoyed it.
I found the directories easy to use and do my searches on but when I tried to feed my podcast to my bloglines account it came back with an error message saying it was timed out which probably means it was congested or down understandably so as I was trying to download a Harry Potter podcast.
I can see how podcasting would be beneficial for intructional applications like our Web 2.0 learning and I think it would be great in a library situation. When we advertise author talks on our home page we could podcast an interview with the author and allow our patrons a taste of whats to come. Or we could have podcasts where a review is given for a popular book set up on our home page. It could really work in that area as some people respond better to listening than reading info all the time.
